The Bolthole offers luxurious self-catered holiday cottage accommodation in the heart of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds in England. The cottage has three bedrooms (two double and a single), a fully featured kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, relaxing sitting room with an ornate fireplace and a large flat-screen television, a spacious dining room overlooking a beautiful cottage garden. The Bolthole welcomes guests of all ages; couples, families and groups. Children are always welcome. Pets by prior arrangement.
Moreton-in-Marsh sits right in the heart of the Cotswolds. Located at the head of the beautiful Evenlode valley, Moreton is a thriving market town dating back over 1000 years to the Saxon era. It is a small, friendly and pretty Cotswold town, with a good range of shopping facilities, country pubs and excellent restaurants abound in the town. This all helps to make Moreton the perfect stepping stone to this idyllic part of rural England and a great base from which to explore the world-famous Cotswolds.
Moreton is easily accessible by car but, for a more scenic arrival why not take advantage of the towns railway station - with trains from Paddington in Central London arriving in just 1 hour 20 minutes - a perfect and relaxing way to see an introduction to the beauty the Cotswolds has to offer.
The Cotswolds are well-known gentle hillsides (‘wolds’), packed full of sleepy villages and are very ‘typically English’. Famous for the local honey-coloured limestone, that is used for everything from the stone floors and walls in the houses, the tiles on the roof to the walls between fields, has ensured that the area has a magical uniformity of architecture.
The Cotswolds are a dedicated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and lie between the M5, M40 and M4 motorways.
